Roma Cristia-Plant, Assistant Director

Roma Cristia-Plant brings more than 20 years of state program and administrative experience to the BOPC, most recently as the Assistant Executive Director of the California Infrastructure and Economic Development Bank, a state of California financing authority. Under her administration, the I-Bank issued over $7 billion in tax-exempt bonds and $450 million in direct infrastructure loans to local governments, including several port districts in northern California. Roma has a myriad of government municipal, commercial and housing financing experience working in various programs at the state, and traveled throughout the United States early in her career administering disaster loans for the federal government. Roma has a B.A. in Human Development from UC Riverside, and an M.B.A. in finance from CSU Sacramento. Roma is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma honor societies.  Roma retired in April 2021, and returned as a Retired Annuitant on August 29, 2022.
